The Cervical Screening has replaced the Pap Smear. This new test looks for the HPV infection, which can cause abnormal cells and possibly cervical cancer, it can identify people who could be at risk of cervical cancer earlier than the Pap Smear test could, and if your results are negative you don’t need another test for 5 years.
People with a cervix, between 25-74 years old, are advised to have a regular Cervical Screening Test.
During the month of November, we will be offering FREE Cervical Screenings performed by our Cervical Screening Nurse Marnie.
Marnie has been working as a midwife for over 20 years and has recently completed a Sexual Health and Cervical Screening course.
Call us to book your Cervical Screening on (03) 5978 5533.
